A dedicated IP typically refers to an address whose registration region, routing information, and actual exit region broadly match. When a streaming platform reads this type of address, the regional signal may be more direct, but playback still depends on whether the platform classifies the address range as a proxy, data center, or another network type.
“Dedicated” describes the address’s regional attributes; it does not automatically mean streaming access is supported. Check the client label and verify it directly on the target platform.
Residential IP
A residential IP typically refers to an address used by a residential broadband network. Some platforms assess the network provider type as part of the access environment, so a residential attribute may sometimes resemble a typical home connection more closely. However, shared use, historical activity, or policy changes can still affect the result.

PLAYBACK QUALITY
What 4K and Dolby Vision require
Picture quality depends not only on peak bandwidth, but also on stable throughput throughout playback. A brief speed test may look excellent, yet sustained jitter, packet loss, or repeated retransmissions can still cause the platform to lower the quality.

Rule out account issues first
